5 of 6 publics report F&I gross profit dip in Q3

Five of the six major publicly traded franchised auto dealership groups saw same-store finance-and-insurance gross profit per vehicle decline year over year in third-quarter earnings.

Only AutoNation saw an increase — and that was a miniscule 0.1 percent. Asbury saw same-store F&I gross profit per vehicle fall furthest, down 12 percent.
